Allyson K. Thompson

Partner Allyson Thompson is a trial lawyer who focuses her practice on all aspects of employment litigation. Ms. Thompson routinely provides counsel to clients on state, federal and regulatory compliance matters and has been providing employer-side advice and counsel for over 20 years. In addition to providing preventative advice, she also litigates all types of employment cases, including discrimination, whistleblower, wage and hour, and complex cases before State and Federal Courts involving labor and employment law disputes. She has broad experience involving complex litigation in labor, trade secrets, and unfair competition law.

She has defended her clients in hearings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) as well as the Department of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE).

Ms. Thompson’s advice and counsel practice includes preparation and assessment of multi-state employee handbooks, audit and compliance review of existing company policies and procedures, complete on-boarding advice including employee classification analysis, handling workplace investigations, handling disability issues, termination, and navigating clients through the interactive process.

Ms. Thompson frequently lectures to statewide business organizations and associations throughout California on strategies to avoid employment related litigation, wage and hour issues, discrimination, preparation of key employment documents, and legislative changes to State and Federal labor laws.
