Hart Kienle Pentecost Partner Successful In Defense Of Client

After a six day trial in the L.A. Superior Court, our partner of Hart Kienle Pentecost obtained a defense verdict on behalf of our client, a natural hazard disclosure reporting company, that was being sued by its much larger competitor. In September a 12-member Long Beach jury came back with their finding of ‘no damages’ on any of the plaintiff’s claims for Unfair Business Practices and also found ‘no interference’ on the claim for Intentional Interference with Prospective Business Advantage.

The Superior Court Trial Judge who presided over the trial also ruled on the last of plaintiff’s causes of action for injunctive relief and found in favor of the defendant stating that defendant’s business programs were not a detriment to competition and there was nothing to be enjoined by the Court.

In short, it was a total ‘win-win’ for Hart Kienle Pentecost’s client.
